OUTSIDE SCHOLARS
Outside of Scholars I strived to accomplish my goal of challenging myself to experience once in a lifetime experiences and grow my social network to different people. The four biggest ways I currently am accomplishing this are QUEST, Survivor Maryland, Maryland Hillel, and ZBT.
QUEST is an amazing program in the business school that I am enrolled in that offers me once in a lifetime opportunities while also adding me to a community of people from various backgrounds of my own. Survivor Maryland was one of the most entertaining experiences in my entire life. It simulates the real game of Survivor on CBS, except on a college campus, it was a really fun social game and I recommend it to any student on campus looking for an exciting and long-lasting social game. Meanwhile, I also stuck to my roots by being a big part of the Maryland Hillel and remaining to a degree within the Modern Orthodox Jewish Bubble. Finally, I ventured out of my comfort zone to join the fraternity Zeta Beta Tau. I never saw myself as a fraternity kid, but the quality of frat members was surprisingly really high so I pushed myself to test it out and I loved it!! Overall, all four of these experiences along with the Public Leadership program contribute greatly to my University experience.
